Christin Kouamé’s recent performances for the Viola has earned him praise within the Fiorentina management. Kouamé most recently bagged the winner against Atalanta in a 3-2 victory, helping the Viola register a tenth straight Serie A home game without losing for the first time since 2017.

Kouamé was courted by several outfits across Europe over the summer, including Nantes, Lorient, Spartak Moscow, and even Genoa, but Fiorentina instead chose to hold on to the Ivory Coast international.

His contract in Firenze expires at the end of the current season, and the Viola are understood to have changed their stance on Kouamé, with Rocco Commisso ready to remove him from the transfer market, per Il Tirreno (via FirenzeViola).

An offer until the summer of 2027 i.e. a three-year extension, is in the works to wade off any interest. Vincenzo Italiano is said to have increased his confidence in Kouamé this season, after the Ivorian showed great signs of improvement to make himself available to the first team despite the signings of M’Bala Nzola and Lucas Beltran upfront.

Our Take on Kouamé and Fiorentina

The 25-year-old striker has endured a start-stop couple of seasons in Florence since arriving and could very well prove himself to Italiano this campaign. His most recent goal against La Dea could help propel his confidence even further and perhaps etch himself as an undisputed starter with consistent displays.
